Redeeming Mileage Information

Rule Changes on JMB Partner Airlines Award Tickets

For application received on/after October 1, 2012, the required mileage and the basic conditions of the Partner Airlines Awards such as itineraries, flight sectors, limit of stopover, etc. will be consolidated.
Also, "Zone Scheme Award" of Finnair (AY) and Emirates (EK) will be changed to "Distance Scheme Award".
(Hokkaido Air System (HAC) is excluded. Some conditions vary depending on partner airlines. Please click here for details.)

If arranging an itinerary with a combination of two or more oneworld member airlines, please use oneworld Award Tickets.

For details of required mileage, please refer to the required mileage chart listed below. The required mileage chart of partner airlines other than AY and EK may also differ from the chart applied on/before September 30, 2012.

1. For IB and RJ, one-way trip is permitted.

2. For AY and EK, "Point of origin" and "Final returning point" must be in the same zone.

3.(1) For IB, RJ and S7, surface sector is not permitted.
(2) When "Point of origin" and "Final returning point" are different, surface sector is not permitted.

4. For IB, RJ and S7, a maximum of 4 flight sectors will be permitted in the whole itinerary. (1 flight sector will be permitted for one-way award.)

5. For S7, a maximum of 1 stopover (a stay more than 24 hours) is permitted in the whole itinerary.
1. One-way trip is not permitted.

2. "Point of origin" and "Final returning point" may be different provided those cities are in the same country.

3. One surface sector is permitted in the whole itinerary (also permitted when "Point of origin" and "Final returning point" are different).

4. A maximum of 6 flight sectors excluding surface sector will be permitted in the whole itinerary. (For MU, a maximum of 4 flight sectors excluding surface sector will be permitted. China (including Hong Kong and Macau) domestic sectors are permitted at a maximum of 2 flight sectors.)

5. A maximum of 2 stopovers (a stay more than 24 hours or surface sector) will be permitted in the whole itinerary.
Award Ticket date changes and mileage reinstatement for totally unused award within the validity For changes after October 1, 2012, award tickets issued under zone award scheme are handled based on zone award rules and required mileage. Award tickets issued under distance scheme are handled based on distance scheme award rules and required mileage.
