Flagship™ First, American Airlines' unique first-class experience on the ground and in the air, has come to our Los Angeles-Haneda route. Passengers will enjoy a full range of premium services, including original Japanese cuisine from the famed "Kurogi" restaurant on flights from Japan. On the ground, passengers can savor full-course meals in Flagship™ First Dining before departing Los Angeles. All seats are full-flat aisle seats, offering a more relaxing, private space. Seats can also be rotated up to 90 degrees, allowing passengers in center seats to face each other for meals and conversation and those in window-side seats to face the window for a personal office-like feel.

Together, Japan Airlines' and American Airlines' trans-Pacific routes offer 16 flights daily to 9 cities. Passengers can choose their preferred carrier for each flight: American on the way there, and JAL on the way back. Or visa versa. Japanese meals are available on U.S. – Japan flights through a joint project with JAL. On flights originating in Japan, passengers can enjoy original Japanese cuisine designed exclusively for American Airlines by chef Jun Kurogi of Tokyo's famed "Kurogi" restaurant.
