Airline to use fully-revamped Boeing 767-300ER featuring JAL SKY SUITE II in business class

Kailua-Kona, Hawaii – September 15, 2017 – Japan Airlines (JAL) has increased its Hawaii =Japan network with the launch of daily nonstop service between Kona International Airport at Keahole (KOA) and Tokyo Narita International Airport (NRT) starting today.

JAL celebrated the opening of its 10th U.S. gateway by holding gate ceremonies at both NRT and KOA airports.

“Japan Airlines is pleased to offer more flight options to and from Hawaii with the launch of this daily nonstop between Kona and Narita” said Toshihiro Shoji, Japan Airlines Regional Vice President – Hawaii. “Our newest service offers JAL’s latest cabin interiors for a comfortable travel experience.”

JAL will operate the Kona route with its JAL SKY SUITE 767 (Boeing 767-300ER) aircraft, which are fitted with the airline’s latest cabin interiors and arranged in a two-class cabin configuration featuring 24 lie-flat JAL SKY SUITE II seats in business class and 175 JAL SKY WIDER seats in economy class.

The new JAL KOA=NRT service is in addition to the airline’s six daily Honolulu=Narita, Honolulu=Osaka and Honolulu=Nagoya operations.
