Japan's sacred peak inscribed on the World Heritage List
Straddling the prefectures of Shizuoka and Yamanashi, Mount Fuji stands by itself, 3,776 meters above sea level. It is known around the world not only for its perfect shape but also for its deep relation with traditional Japanese culture and arts. It was registered as a World Heritage cultural site only recently, in 2013. This year is an ideal time to make a trip to see this majestic mountain again.
About 128km from Haneda Airport to Mount Fuji tollgate of Fuji Subaru line, about 1 hour 40 minutes by car.
