Best time to see: Late March to early April
The 700-m pedestrian path along the Chidorigafuchi moat, located on the western side of the Imperial Palace, is a famous cherry blossom viewing spot in Tokyo. In springtime, when some 260 cherry blossom trees, mostly Yoshino cherry trees, many people from all over Japan amble along the boardwalk, row boats in the moat, and admire the lit-up cherry blossoms at night.
