Japan Airlines departs for Chicago from Narita in the morning and American Airlines (American) departs in the evening. With two flights daily, it is easy to select a flight that suits your schedule. Additionally, the times have changed for JAL flights departing Narita to Chicago and American's North American flights departing Chicago. The number of American's North American routes with a connection from JAL within three hours of arrival in Chicago has increased from 45 to 47. Of particular note, the wait time was reduced from 90 minutes to 40 minutes for connections on popular routes out of Chicago such as to Boston and Montreal, making connections even smoother.

The operation times of American's North America flights landing in Chicago and JAL flights leaving there for Narita have been adjusted, shortening the connection wait time. Also, the terminal for JAL flights departing Chicago for Narita changed to Terminal 3, the same as American, on March 27, 2011. Thanks to this change, the number of American's North American flights connecting to JAL Narita flights in two hours or less has doubled to 44 flights on 42 routes. Connections from Toronto, Cincinnati and Charlotte are now possible, making the flights quicker and smoother.

On April 5, the operating schedule for American domestic flights departing and arriving in Los Angeles was adjusted. New routes were placed in service at nine locations, increasing the number of cities connecting to a JAL flight. Additionally, American flights departing Narita for Los Angeles have been coordinated so they arrive at an earlier time period. Use your time more effectively when you arrive. Scheduling for many American domestic flights connecting to the JAL route from Narita to Los Angeles has also been adjusted, decreasing the wait time in Los Angeles for such destinations as Las Vegas and San Diego.
