Precautions for using Electronic Devices

Thank for flying Japan Airlines.

The restriction of electronic devices aboard aircrafts by Civil Aeronautics Bulletin of Japan has changed from April 1, 2011. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

< Flight until March 31, 2011 >

Please switch off restricted electronic devices before boarding.
Also, please switch off electronic devices in your checked baggage.

Prohibited at all times Electronic devices that emit electronic signals: cell phones, PHS,
transceivers, radio-controlled toys, wireless headphones, wireless earphones, wireless microphones, battery powered IC tags, personal computers(PCl assistants(PDA), wireless PC peripherals, electronic game machines, wireless pedometers, wireless heart rate monitors, wristwatches with wireless functions, wireless keys.
Prohibited during
take-off and landing*1
All of the above-mentioned items even in a non-electronic signals-emitting setting, TVs, radios, pagers, GPS receivers, video cameras, video players, DVD players, digital cameras, digital audio equipment, wired & battery type headphones, wired & battery type earphones, word processors, electronic organizers, electronic dictionaries, printers, battery chargers, toys with voice or touch activated speakers and monitors.

Take-off : From the time of boarding to the time the seat belt sign is turned off, or the permission of the use of electronic devices is announced.
Landing : From the time it is announced before landing that the use of electronic devices is prohibited to the time of disembarkation.

Please switch off restricted electronic devices when cabin attendants request to do so after passenger entry door is closed.
Also, please switch off electronic devices in your checked baggage.

During flight : From the time when seat belt sign is turned off or when the announcement allowing the use of electronic devices is made, to the time announced before landing that the use of electronic devices is prohibited.
