Heightened Airport Security in China

From September 2012, aviation security has been heightened at airports served by JAL (Beijing, Shanghai (Pudong and Hongqiao), Dalian, Guangzhou, Tianjin), under instructions of the Chinese authorities. As it may take time at immigration control and baggage checkpoints, etc., please kindly be advised to come to the airport early, promptly complete immigration procedures and security checks, and proceed straight to the boarding gate.

Especially at Beijing Capital International Airport, it has been taking considerable time to complete security checks. Customers departing from Beijing Capital International Airport are requested to be at the airport 2 and a half hours prior to the scheduled departure time. (Customers using JL860 are requested to be at the airport by 6:15.)

We would appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
