1. New restrictions on liquids, gels and aerosols as carry-on baggage
As for details, please refer to New restrictions on liquids, gels and aerosols as carry-on baggage.
2. The prohibitions of carry -on "Matches and Lighters" from China
In accordance with the notice from the Chinese Authority, effective April 7, 2008, matches and lighters in carry-on baggage to international and domestic aircraft departing from China (exclusive of Hong Kong) are under the ban strictly.
Other rules may apply for the code-share flights operated by other carrier.
These items are prohibited when carried as checked baggage, too.
Please note that matches and lighters must be confiscated at security checkpoint.
It would be taken a longer time required for security checkpoint inspections than usual, so please come to the airport before enough time to the departure.
3. Information for carry-on baggage on domestic flights departing from China
Effective from May 1 2008, Civil Aviation Administration of China announced to introduce the enhanced rules regarding baggage allowance that passengers can carry into the cabin of all domestic flights departing from China (exclusive of Hong Kong).
Each passenger on First Class is limited to two pieces, and each passenger on Business Class and Economy Class is limited to one piece. Each piece shall not exceed 20cm*40cm*55cm in the linear dimensions (length X height X width) and not weigh more than 5kg.
|FIRST CLASS||2PIECES||20cm * 40cm * 55cm||5KG/PIECE|
|BUSINESS CLASS , ECONOMY CLASS||1PIECE||5KG|
As for baggage that exceeds the dimensions, the customer may be asked to check-in their baggage for loading inside the cargo compartment.
It would be taken a longer time required for check-in than usual, so please come to the airport before enough time to the departure.
Your understanding and cooperation on this matter is highly appreciated.
