Customers on Code Share Flights

Services at the airport and on the flight. Operating carrier of codeshare flight will provide services for both airport and during the flight.
Operating carrier's policies applies to cases such as counter hours, in-flight service acceptance of infants and children, and disruption handlings.

International Flights

About JL's Joint Business Partner(AA/BA/AY)

JAL started the Joint Business partnership with AA (American Airlines) from AUG 2011, BA (British airways) from MAY2013 and AY (Finnair) from FEB2014.
It is now more simple to reserve between the 3 partner airlines. For some cases, priority guests traveling on JL code-share flight on these operating carrier doesn't need to re contact the operating carrier for arrangements. (*1)
Also the customer who use medical oxygen bottle or medical equipment in cabin can travel without re-booking on these carrier. (*2)

In the cases of some code-share flights operated by our partner airlines, you will need to check and comply with the other airlines' regulations.

  • Customers who does not have a stable condition from an injury or from a health situation.
  • Customers who requires an arrangement for a stretcher.
  • Customers who requires an arrangement for a medical oxygen bottles.
  • Customers who is not able to walk by self.
  • Customers who is using a battery-powered wheelchairs or other similar devices.
  • Customers who is blind and is traveling alone.
  • Customers who is accompanied by an assistance (seeing dog) or hearing dog.

(*1) Some exceptions exist.

(*2) BA Medical Information Form is required when customers traveling on JL code-share flights on BA operating flights.
