Awards can be used by the JMB member and the following relatives designated by the member.
All flights must be confirmed at the time of mileage redemption.
2 flight ("point of origin" and "returning point" must be the same city) sectors or 1 flight sector can be included in 1 award.
There are no restricted travel dates.
Award booking will be accepted starting no earlier than 10:00 am (Japan Time) 2 months prior to date of departure and no later than 12:00 noon on 4 days (not including the day of departure) prior to departure.
Award booking must be made by telephone through JMB award reservation desk/JMB center of your region. Award booking cannot be requested through JAL website.
How to confirm, change or cancel awards
Only confirmation of the award is available from "International Award Ticket Reservation Confirmation/Change/Cancellation" on JAL's website.
*Change and cancel of award is not available on JAL's website. Please call the JMB award reservation desk/JMB center of your region.
*Display and print of E-tickets is available on reservation confirmation screen.
Award tickets once issued are valid only for the flight and date reserved. Failure to travel will result in the forfeiture of the award ticket, and refund of mileage*1 or change of award may not be available.
The award ticket will be valid for 1 year from the date the mileage is deducted (the date the ticket is issued). only if the reservation change was made within the date change deadline. All travel must be completed within the validity.
Changes of flight number and flight date are permitted.

In case of changes, e-tickets must be re-validated or re-issued.
Changes of the traveler's name, the airline carrier, the flight sector, the class of service, the routing and the type of awards are not permitted.
"Mileage Reinstatement Service for Unused Awards" is applicable in case of cancellation of unused award tickets.
Members are responsible for all the mailing costs of award tickets sent to the JMB International Award Reservations Desk of your membership registration.
After application for the award has been completed the mileage used for the award can only be reinstated for totally unused award by paying the applicable fee.
All reinstated mileage must be returned to the JMB account from which it was redeemed.
