Redeeming Milege Kintetsu KIPS Point Awards (Exclusive to JMB KIPS Card Members)

How to use Kintetsu KIPS Point Awards

Kintetsu KIPS Point Awards allow JMB KIPS Card members to exchange 10,000 miles equivalent for ¥10,000 KIPS Points.
KIPS Point Awards can be exchanged for Kintetsu Super Express net points or Kintetsu Department Store gift certificates, thereafter used for Kintetsu Special Express trains, or for shopping at Kintetsu Department Stores.

Required Mileage for an Exchange

10,000 miles are exchanged for 10,000 KIPS Points.
  • * Exchange unit is 10,000 miles.
  • * Only two exchanges within a maximum of 20,000 miles can be made a year (April to the following March).

How to Apply for and Receive Awards

Check the number of miles in your account.

Apply

Apply to exchange accumulated miles in your JMB mileage account for Kintetsu KIPS Point Awards.

JAL Website

Cardholders of JMB KIPS Card can apply for awards online at www.jal.co.jp/.(available only in Japanese)
You are required to provide your JMB membership number and 6-digit PIN number when applying for an award.
  • *The awards are exchanged in units of 10,000 points.
  • *It takes about one week for exchanging the mileage to KIPS Points. (Please note that after receiving a new card, it may take about 6 weeks before point exchange is allowed.)
  • *KIPS Points are valid until the end of the next following fiscal year (end of March) after the redemption is made.

Use

KIPS Points can be used for train travel on Kintetsu Special Express or for shopping at Kintetsu Department Stores.

Notes on Awards Usage

  • Only JMB KIPS Card holders can apply for and use Kintetsu KIPS Point Awards.
  • After the mileage are exchanged for Kintetsu KIPS Point Awards, the usage and restrictions shall comply with the terms of use of Kintetsu Point Program, and JAL assumes no responsibility for such usage and restrictions.

  • You cannot apply for Kintetsu KIPS Point Awards at JAL Mileage Bank Japan region members office, JMB Award reservation desks, JAL reservations and guidance, JAL Group City Ticketing Offices, airport air ticket sales counters, Kintetsu train stations, or Kintetsu Group stores.
  • The mileage once deducted can not be refunded to your JMB mileage account.
    *Note: Not eligible for unused mileage refunds.
