How to use JTB Travel Point Awards

JTB Travel Point Awards are for JTB TABI Card and JTB Travel Point JMB Card members only. JTB Travel Point Awards allow JTB TABI Card and JTB Travel Point JMB Card members to exchange 10,000 miles for 10,000 JTB travel points. JTB Travel Point can be used for the payment of travel in units of 1,000 points (equivalent to ¥1,000).

How to Apply for and Receive Awards

Check the number of miles in your account.

Apply

Apply to exchange accumulated miles in your JMB mileage account for JTB Travel Point Awards.

Cardholders of JTB Travel Point JMB Card can apply for awards online at www.jal.co.jp/.(available only in Japanese)
You are required to provide your JMB membership number and 6-digit PIN number when applying for an award.
  • *After having applied for the award, the mileage is exchanged to JTB Travel Points within five days.

Use

JTB Travel Points can be used in units of 1,000 points (equivalent to ¥1,000) in the local JTB branch, in towns and cities on your journey.

Notes on Awards Usage

  • After having applied for the award, the mileage will be exchanged to JTB Travel Points within five days. However, if it is immediately after you have applied for JTB Travel Point JMB card, it can take up to two weeks for the mileage to be exchanged to JTB Travel Point.
  • Make note that the validity period of the JTB Travel Points exchange is as follows:
  • When exchanged between April 1 and December 31 until March 31 two years later
  • When exchanged between January 1 and March 31 until March 31 of the next year
    (For balance inquiry of JTB Travel Point, a JTB Travel Point login ID and password is required.)
  • The mileage, once deducted following the application for an award cannot be refunded to the mileage account, nor exchanged for other awards.
