How to Use JMB IYOTETSU Awards

JMB IYOTETSU Awards are for JMB IYOTETSU e-Card holders only. JMB IYOTETSU Awards allow e-Card holders to exchange 10,000 miles to IC value of IYOTETSU e-Card credit equivalent to ¥10,000 and can be used for fares on IYOTETSU trains, buses and taxis or for shopping purchases made with the IYOTETSU Group. JMB IYOTETSU Awards coupons are sent out after applying for an award exchange on this website. Take this coupon to an awards exchange counter to credit IC value to your e-Card.

How to Apply for and Receive Awards

Check the number of miles in your account.

Apply

Apply to exchange accumulated miles in your JMB mileage account for JMB IYOTETSU Awards.

JAL Website

Cardholders of JMB IYOTETSU e-Cards can apply for awards online at www.jal.co.jp/.(available only in Japanese)
You are required to provide your JMB membership number and 6-digit PIN number when applying for an award.
  • *Only two exchanges within a maximum of 20,000 miles (equivalent to ¥20,000) can be made a year (April to the following March).

Receive

The JMB Japan Office will send you a JMB IYOTETSU Awards coupon.
  • *If exchanges are applied just before or during long holidays, such as Golden Week or New Year, it may take up to 2 weeks from the date of application to receive your JMB IYOTETSU Awards coupon.
Take your JMB IYOTETSU Awards coupon to a JMB IYOTETSU Awards exchange counter and have the mileages accredited to your JMB IYOTETSU e-Card.

Validity Period of Awards
JMB IYOTETSU Awards are valid for a full thirteen months from the month after you apply for the exchange.
JMB IYOTETSU Awards must be used within the validity period and are forfeited if not used within this time period.
The expiration date of JMB IYOTETSU Awards is printed on the JMB IYOTETSU Awards coupon, therefore be sure to check the validity date.

Use

Charge fares for IYOTETSU trains, buses or taxis.

The accredited JMB IYOTETSU Awards can be used for IYOTETSU trains, buses and taxis.

Notes on Awards Usage

  • JMB IYOTETSU Awards can be accredited to e-Cards only at the above offices.
  • Present both your JMB IYOTETSU e-Card and the JMB IYOTETSU Awards coupon to credit awards to your e-Card.
  • JMB IYOTETSU Awards may only be used by the JMB IYOTETSU e-Card holder.
  • JMB IYOTETSU Awards may only be credited to JMB IYOTETSU e-Cards. They may not be credited to other IC e-Cards.
  • Credited JMB IYOTETSU Awards may not be used beyond the expiration date printed on the JMB IYOTETSU Awards coupon.
  • No cash refunds, exchanges or returns of remaining balance will be given once mileage have been exchanged for awards.
  • Awards may not be reconverted to mileage or exchanged for other award types once mileage have been exchanged for awards.
  • The limit on charges that can be made with JMB IYOTETSU e-Cards is ¥30,000 and the JMB IYOTETSU Awards are awarded in increments of ¥10,000. Therefore, depending on the balance on the e-Card, you may not be able to use your accredited JMB IYOTETSU Awards to make purchases.
  • JAL assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen or otherwise destroyed JMB IYOTETSU Awards coupons.
  • Terms and conditions relating to JMB IYOTETSU Awards are subject to change without notice.
  • Members who have been registered for JALCARD Family Program can combine mileage and the combined mileage can be exchanged to JMB IYOTETSU Awards.
