Eligible Rates

Mileage will be credited only when hotel room charges are paid directly to the hotel.

  • *Group rates are not eligible for mileage credit. Discounted rates (including the use of discount coupons) may not be eligible at certain hotels. Mileage cannot be credited in conjunction with other awards (such as loyalty programs offered by some hotels). For details, please check with the individual hotel.
  • *Please inquire about eligible rates when making your reservation.

How to Accumulate Hotel Mileage

STEP1At the time of hotel check-in

Please present your JMB card or JALCARD and mention that you wish to receive mileage credit on your JMB account.

When checking into the following hotels, please show:

  • Starwood Preferred Guest account number or membership card when you stay with Starwood Hotels & Resorts;
  • Marriott RewardsŪ membership number or membership card when you stay with Marriott International hotels or The Ritz-Carlton®;
  • World of Hyatt membership number or membership card when you stay with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts;
  • IHG® Rewards Club (Previous Service Name: Priority Club Rewards) membership card when you stay with InterContinetal Hotels Group;
  • Fairmont President's Club or Swissotel Circle membership number or card when you stay with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts or Swissotel Hotels & Resorts;
  • Hilton Honors membership number or membership card when you stay with Hilton Worldwide;

STEP2At the time of hotel check-out

Please make sure you receive a hotel receipt made out in your name. This receipt must be submitted when requesting post-stay hotel credit. Please retain your receipt until your hotel mileage has been credited to your account.

STEP3Mileage accumulated from hotel stays will be reflected in your account within 2-3 months

If you find a discrepancy in your mileage records, you may make a request for post-stay hotel credit.

  • *To accumulate miles at the following hotels, you must join each hotel's loyalty program in advance and have JMB selected as your preferred earning alliance.
    • Starwood Hotels & Resorts → Starwood Preferred Guest
    • Marriott International and The Ritz-Carlton → Marriott Rewards
    • InterContinental Hotels Group → IHG® Rewards Club (Previous Service Name: Priority Club Rewards)
    • Hyatt Hotels and Resorts → World of Hyatt
    • Fairmont Hotels & Resorts or Swissotel Hotels & Resorts → Fairmont President's Club or Swissotel Circle
    • Hilton Worldwide → Hilton Honors
  • *Even if you mentioned your JMB membership number at the time of making your reservation, you must advise the hotel when you check-in that you wish to accumulate mileage credit. Failure to do so will result in uncredited mileage.
  • *If you check out and check in again at the same hotel within a 24-hour period, it will be considered as one stay.
  • *If two or more JMB members share a room, only the member whose name appears on the hotel receipt will receive mileage credit.
  • *Reserving multiple rooms in the same member's name will result in the crediting of mileage for one stay.

How to Request Post-Stay Hotel Credit

You may request post-stay hotel credit in any of the following circumstances. Mileage will be credited to your account once we verify that your stay is eligible for hotel mileage.

  • *Post-stay hotel credit requests must be made after JMB enrollment and within six months from the date of your hotel stay.
  • When your hotel stay was completed after JMB enrollment but before the arrival of your JMB membership card;
  • When you did not request mileage credit at the time of hotel check-in;
  • When you forgot to present your JMB card or JALCARD at the time of hotel check-in;
  • When you find a discrepancy in your mileage records.

Necessary documents

  • Your hotel receipt, issued by the hotel in your name
    • *Your hotel receipt must be issued by the hotel in your name (as the reservation holder) and indicate the check-in date, check-out date, and rate per night.
    • *Documents sent to the JMB Center are non-returnable. Please retain a copy if necessary.
  • A memo stating your full name and JMB membership number

Post-stay hotel credit for Starwood Hotels & Resorts

An SPG Member may request Starpoint credit for Eligible Charges that are not reflected in an SPG Member's account through the SPG Program website (opens in new windowwww.spg.com/jp) under "Report a Missing Stay (Get Credit)" or by contacting the Customer Contact Center. Such a request must be received within 1 year of the Eligible Charge transaction to receive credit.
New SPG Members. A new SPG Member will be eligible to receive Starpoints for Eligible Charges incurred and paid for by the SPG Member during the 30 days prior to his/her enrollment, if such credit is requested within 60 days of the Eligible Charge transaction.
