Discontinuation of Upgrade Points (UGP)
As we informed you in December 2011, UGP service will be discontinued for members qualified for FY2013 after offering UGP to JMB FLY ON status members for FY2012 (accumulation period of FLY ON Points: from January 1 to December 31, 2011).
* FY2012 JMB FLY ON Program UGP is valid until March 31, 2013 (onboard basis).

Tickets eligible for Upgrade
Tickets with booking classes J/C/D/X/W/Y/E/B/H/K printed in the CLASS column of tickets.
(Executive class normal fares, Business Saver, Business Saver 14, Business Saver 21 Weekend Stay, Business Saver 7 Weekend Stay, Economy class normal fares, Economy Saver Flex, Economy Saver Premium, IATA PEX, Economy Saver, Dynamic Saver Premium, Dynamic Saver Type A / Type B, etc.)
Tickets not eligible for Upgrade
Dynamic Saver Type C / Type D / Type E / Type F, individual or group inclusive tour fares, special discounted fares, JMB award tickets or tickets subject to special provisions.
- *Certain types of fares are not eligible for upgrade irrespective of booking.
Required points for Upgrade are different depending on the route and the boarding class.

Upgrade to Premium Economy is not applicable.
Upgrade from Premium Economy to Executive class is applicable.
Please refer to the "JAL Group International Upgrade Award Chart". (Restricted travel dates for upgrades using Upgrade Points are the same as the ones with using mileage.)
At other times, the number of the seats available for upgrade may be limited, or may not be available.

Reservations
You must make reservations before requesting upgrade by calling the reservation desk of your tier status or the JMB Center/JMB Award Reservation desk of your membership region from 10:00 (Japan time) of 330 days prior to the date of flight departure (not including the day of departure).
- ・At the time of making reservations, you must have the total amount of Upgrade Points that are needed for the upgrade, otherwise you cannot make a reservation.
- ・Upgrade Points will be redeemed at the reservation desk of your tier status or the JMB Center/JMB Award Reservation desk of your membership region immediately at the time the flight has been confirmed and necessary arrangements on upgrade issuance will be started.
- ・Upgrades are stored electronically and will be arranged at the departure airport on the flight date. When checking in, please mention that you have already requested for an upgrade and present your purchased ticket.
- ・If you have been on the waiting list, please verify whether your upgrade reservation is confirmed at the time of check-in at the airport. Upgrade Points will be redeemed at the time the flight has been confirmed and necessary arrangements on upgrade will be started.
Deadline For Application
| For members of Japan Region The deadline of application is 19:00 on a prior to the flight departure date(If one day before departure date is Saturday / Sunday / holiday, the deadline of application is 17:30.). In case of waitlists, the deadline of application is 17:30 on a prior to the flight departure date. |

Taxes
- ※The following Airport Passenger Taxes will be necessary on the day of departure for Upgraded tickets from Economy class to Executive class since this tax amount differs according to each reservation class.
【As of April, 2012】
- ※British Air Passenger Duty : 81GBP for departure from London.
(Payment is not applicable to Upgrade from Premium Economy class to Executive class.) - ※International Air Passenger Solidarity Tax : 36 EUR for departure from Paris.
Eligible Members
Class J-e Coupons can be used by the JMB member him/herself, member's spouse and applicable relatives specified in the JMB rules. When persons other than the member him/herself are requesting for upgrades using the Coupons at the airport on the day of departure, they must be accompanied by the member upon check in at the airport and the member must present his/her JMB membership card.
- ※Upgrade is available for either round-trip or one-way travel.
- ※All flights must be confirmed for the upgraded class of service at the time of Upgrade Points redemption.
- ※When using upgrade, all of the restrictions and conditions of travel for the ticket you purchased will apply.
- ※You cannot combine two Upgrades to be "bumped up" from economy class to executive class to first class. Upgrades are from the lower class to the next higher class only.
Upgrade points are valid until March 31, 2013(the flight departure date.)
Upgrades are only applicable to the reserved flights.
Upgrades will be invalid if they are not used without cancellation. However, Upgrade Points would be eligible if you contact us to refund your upgrade before the departure of your reserved flight. (It is acceptable to refund upgrades with free of charge.) Please contact the reservation desk of your tier satus or the JMB Center/JMB Award Reservation desk of your membership region.
