Application

■Promotion Period:
JAL Group domestic flights until March 31, 2018 (flight date)
JAL international flights until September 30, 2017 (flight date)
*The promotion for JAL international flights will end on September 30, 2017 (flight date).

Application start date:
JAL Group domestic flights 9:30 2 months before flight departure
JAL international flights 10:00 (Japan Time) on January 14, 2016 (Thu.)

※There are no Restricted Travel Dates.

■Required Mileage:
Twice the standard required mileage for JAL Group Domestic / JAL International Award Tickets
※Mileage for 2 flight sectors is required even if 1 flight sector of the JAL Group Airlines domestic award ticket is used for the travel.
■Eligible Routes:
Routes eligible for JAL Group Domestic/JAL International Award Tickets
※Code-share flights operated by airlines other than JAL are not eligible.
※Valid for travel on code-share flights with Fuji Dream Airlines (FDA).
■Eligible Class:
JAL Group domestic flights: Class J and Economy Class
JAL international flights: Business Class, Premium Economy Class and Economy Classes

■The deadlines for application

The deadline for processing JMB DIAMOND Award Tickets will be as follows:
JAL Group domestic flights: 23:59, one day prior to the flight departure (18:00, one day prior to the flight departure date at the JMB DIAMOND PREMIER desk.)
JAL International flights: 23:59, two days prior to the flight departure (17:00, one day prior to the flight departure date at the JMB DIAMOND PREMIER desk.)
※JAL International Upgrade Awards are not available.
※Reservations for JAL international one-way award tickets must be made by phone.
※Waitlists are not permitted.
※Airport taxes, airport facility charges, security charges and such must be paid by member’s credit card.
※Open itineraries are not permitted. JMB DIAMOND Award Tickets will become invalid if you fail to change reservations to flights with available seats before departure.
※Reservation change is only possible to a JMB DIAMOND Award Ticket reservation even if regular award seats are available. JMB DIAMOND Award Tickets cannot be changed to regular award tickets and vice versa. Also the number of miles deducted for the JMB DIAMOND Award Tickets cannot be reinstated.
※Reservations for JMB DIAMOND Award Tickets and mileage processing must be completed in advance. You cannot make an application at the airport.
※Reservation requests will be accepted through the JAL website or at the JMB DIAMOND PRIMIER desk. (Please note that reservation requests for international flights cannot be made from the JAL mobile site.)

■The deadline for changing reservation

Reservations must be changed in the following manner. However, the journey must be completed within the validity period of the award tickets.
JAL Group domestic flights: by 23:59, one day prior to the new departure date of each flight sector (by 18:00, one day prior to the flight departure date at the JMB DIAMOND PREMIER desk.) or before the original departure date and time of the flight sector (whichever comes first).(Japan time)
JAL International flights: by 23:59, two days prior to the flight departure (by flight departure at the JMB DIAMOND PREMIER desk)

■Number of passengers permitted per itinerary

Up to 5 passengers for the same itinerary (More than 5 passengers are not permitted to make applications.)
※Up to 4 passengers for the same itinerary in case of application of JAL Group domestic flights through JAL website.

■Cancellation and mileage reinstatement

Mileage can be reinstated only if the award is completely unused.

JAL Group domestic flights:
When cancelling/refunding a completely unused award ticket, payment of ¥6,200* (tax included) will be the only option available for paying the refund charge.
*The refund charge must be paid by credit card only.
Please note that some credit cards will not be accepted.

JAL International flights:
if those awards are completely unused and by paying a half required mileage of JMB DIAMOND Award Tickets as the applicable fee. (No change)


Mileage cannot be reinstated after the flight departure.
Cancellation and mileage reinstatement through JAL website will not be available.
