The IATA Cargo Tariff Coordinating Conference was held in Geneva 15-17 May 2000.
The Followings are the summary of changes in rules, rates and charges concerning
the traffic Japan Airlines may be involved with.
The intended effectiveness dates of the agreements are August 1st and October
1st ,2000, depending on the agreements.

Sources of exchange rate |

The source of exchange rate for the listed countries
and area is amended as follows;
Austria/Belgium/Finland/France & French territories/Germany/
Ireland/Italy/Luxembourg/Netherlands/Portugal/Spain
The bankers rate means the rate established by the European Central Bank (ECB)
and published by IATA each Tuesday. This rate will be applicable from Wednesday
of each week up to and including Tuesday of the following week.

Charges in relation to value |

"USD20" is replaced by "SDR17" accordingly,
Resolution 503 is amended as follows;
Paragraph2) for goods having a declared value for carriage of SDR17 per kg or
less, charges for carriage shall be solely on a weight or volume basis.
Paragraph3) for goods having a declared value for carriage of more than SDR17
per kg, charges for carriage shall be on a weight or volume basis plus the valuation
charge specified in Paragraph4) to be assessed on the amount by which the value
for carriage exceeds SDR17 per kg
Paragraph4) the charge for such excess value shall be not less than 0.50 percentum
of that part of the shipper's declared value for carriage which is in excess of
SDR17 per kg. Paragraph8) notwithstanding the amount in Special Drawing Rights(SDR)
specified in Paragraph 2),3) and 4), the amounts shown in Attachment-A shall apply
in the countries listed therein.

as subject to the live animal rate and may be classified under the appropriate
foodstuffs or seafood item.
