Decrease of Fuel Surcharge (Approved by JCAB)

Please be informed that Japan Airlines International Co.,Ltd (JAL) obtained approval from the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MLIT) on Mar 30, 2010 for the revised fuel surcharge with effective date of April 01, 2010.
The international cargo fuel surcharge is JPY73/kg for Long haul routes, JPY63/kg for Asian long haul routes and JPY53/kg for Asian short haul routes for shipments departing from Japan.
JAL will continue to conduct wide range of counter measures to limit the impact of fuel price rise and maintain scheduled service. Detailed conditions of the fuel surcharge are as follows:

- ・ The starting date of the surcharge is April 1, 2010 (AWB issued date).
- ・ The surcharge is applicable on the chargeable weight shown on the AWB.
- ・ The surcharge is not applicable to Minimum Charge shipment.
- ・ Please add fuel surcharge code "MY" and the applicable amount in the "Other Charges" field on the AWB. In addition, add the fuel surcharge amount along with other charges in "Total Other Charges Due Carrier" column on the AWB.
- ・ The surcharge may be paid either on PP or CC basis; however, it should be consistent with the payment for Weight Charge.
- ・ For the surcharge for shipments arriving in Japan, please contact JAL CARGO Sales offices for details.
