APPLICATION OF REDUCED FARE TRANSPORTATION FOR CARGO AGENTS

TThis is to inform you of the following changes in rules of IATA Resolution 881 - Reduced Fares for Cargo Agent agreed at the IATA Cargo Agency Conference held in March, 1997 except in USA. The change becomes effective from September 3, 1997. New Rule: The application for reduced fare shall be submitted by the responsible official of the Agent to each airline participating in the Application Form attached to the Resolution prior to commencement of travel. Each airline participating in the itinerary shall be responsible for granting approval and for issuing their own ticket on their own services or another services, if applicable. In the latter case, the Agent, if so required by the ticketing airlines shall obtain and submit them the written concurrence of all other airlines participating in the itinerary. Previous Rule: The application for reduced fare shall be submitted by the owner or the authorized officer of the Agent to one of the airlines participating in the itinerary. And the airline accepting the application shall obtain the concurrence of other airlines participating in the itinerary and shall issue the ticket appropriately.
