Increase of Fuel Surcharge (Approved by JCAB)

Please be informed that Japan Airlines International Co.,Ltd(JAL) has got
an approval of JCAB on 2nd November 2005 for the increase of Fuel Surcharge effective
1st December 2005.
JAL had introduced the Fuel Surcharge in October 2002 due to rising costs stemming
from high fuel prices. However fuel price has continued to rise since this March
and remained extremely high levels. After 23rd March 2005, the price has been
more than USD 58.00 per barrel for over 20 consecutive business days.
Considering this situation, JAL has decided to increase the fuel surcharge
in order to maintain our service standard. You are kindly requested to understand
the situation as mentioned above. Detailed conditions of the fuel surcharge are
as follows.

The surcharge is JPY48/kg for shipments departing from Japan. As for the
shipments to Japan, please contact JAL sales offices in origin country for details
of the surcharge. |

The effective date of the surcharge is 1st December 2005 (AWB issued date). |

The surcharge will apply to the chargeable weight shown on AWB. |

The surcharge will not apply to minimum charge shipments. |

Please enter fuel surcharge with code "MY" and the applicable amount
in the "Total Other Charges Due Carrier" box of the AWB. |

In the event that the fuel price stays at a a level lower than

USD 53.36/Barrel(230% of JAL fuel price index) for 20 consecutive business
days, then the fuel surcharge will be decreased to JPY 42/kg. |

USD 48.72/Barrel(210% of JAL fuel price index) for 20 consecutive business
days, then the fuel surcharge will be decreased to JPY 36/kg. |

USD 44.08/Barrel(190% of JAL fuel price index) for 20 consecutive business
days, then the fuel surcharge will be decreased to JPY 30/kg. |

USD 39.44/Barrel(170% of JAL fuel price index) for 20 consecutive business
days, then the fuel surcharge will be decreased to JPY 24/kg. |

USD 34.80/Barrel(150% of JAL fuel price index) for 20 consecutive business
days, then the fuel surcharge will be decreased to JPY 18/kg. |

USD 30.16/Barrel(130% of JAL fuel price index) for 20 consecutive business
days, then the fuel surcharge will be decreased to JPY 12/kg. |

USD 23.20/Barrel(JAL fuel price index) for 20 consecutive business days,
then the fuel surcharge will be cancelled. |
