Introduction of the New Cargo Label

At the 17th IATA CSC (Cargo Service Conference) held in March
1995, the revision of IATA Resolution 606 was adopted whereby all member airlines
of IATA are to modify their labels to meet the specifications as stipulated in
the RESO within a period of 18 months (i.e. by 21 June 1997) affter its effective
date, 21 December 1995.
In accordance with the resolution, we are scheduled to introduce newly designed
cargo labels in the following manner.
1. Schedule of introduction
| 10th April : |
Start use of new labels (Possible to use the current labels
simultaneously and use up stock of the labels) |
| 10th June : |
Complete shift (change) to new labels |
2. Specifications of new labels

The current labels, separated single label for manual use and
serial type label for printer use, will be abolished and modified into "Non Bar
Code type single label" for manual use and "Bar Code type serial label" for printer
use. (Refer to the attached sheet) |

The size of "Non Bar Code type label" will be 102mm in width and 60mm in
length.
That of "Bar Code type label" will be 102mm in width and 85mm in
length.
The size of printed letters should be over 5mm tall. |
3. Others
As for Bar Code type label, the printing of the bar code into the space will be
at your discretion. We hope you will use it effectively.
