Flights operated by JAL will arrive at Terminal D.

At the 4th floor immigration screening, area, there is immigration screening, , APC, Carry E-Z (9:00 AM - 6:00 PM), and stairs, escalators, and elevators to the 1st floor. At the 1st floor baggage claim area there are toilets, and Once you pass through customs, there is the exit to outside., toilets (wheelchair accessible), baggage drop off counter, and stairs and escalators to the 3rd floor.

VISA

Japan is an eligible country under the United States Visa Waiver Program (VWP).
Japanese passport holders are permitted to enter the country without a visa provided that the duration of stay is up to 90 days, and the purpose of travel is tourism or business. (However, an ESTA application must be made beforehand.)

Depending on the purpose of visit (study, work, etc.), a visa or additional documentation may be required. Please contact the US Embassy for further information.
(Example: A visa and supplementary documentation (I-20) are required if the purpose of the visit is study.)
US permanent residents and conditional permanent residents must show their permanent resident or conditional permanent resident cards (Green Card/I-551).

  • *Please note: If you are traveling after April 1, 2016 with ESTA on the Visa Waiver Program, it is essential that you are in possession of an IC passport. If you do not have an IC passport, you will need to apply for a visa.
Passport

A machine-readable passport (MRP) or an IC passport (IC chipped) valid until the date of return to your home country.

About the APC KIOSK (Automated Passport Control KIOSK)

In Dallas, the following passengers are able to use the APC Kiosk to pass through Immigration.

Eligible passengers
  1. US citizens
  2. People carrying green cards
  3. People with B1 or B2 visas
  4. People with ESTA who are entering the US for the second or subsequent time
How to use the APC KIOSK

Follow the on-screen instructions to scan your passport and fingerprints, have your photograph taken, and answer questions to complete your customs declaration. (You are able to select Japanese as a language option.)

  • *It is not necessary to fill in a customs declaration form if you are using the APC Kiosk.

Customs

Please show your passport and customs declaration form. (Your customs declaration form will be collected here.) If you have any items to declare, please declare them to an official.

Passengers transferring to an AA (American Airlines) international flight beyond Dallas/Fort Worth are not required to collect their baggage. Simply fill out a customs declaration form for inspection.

Pets

Prior reservation is necessary if you wish to bring your pet, as the transportation environment within the aircraft needs to be prepared.

On the 3rd floor, there are check-in counters, toilets (wheelchair accessible), elevators, ATMs, Carry E-Z arrivals exit, and stairs and escalators from the 1st floor, and Once you pass through security, there are toilets (wheelchair accessible), airline clubs, and currency exchange offices.

Check-in

Check-in opens 3 hours prior to departure.
Please go to Terminal D to carry out check-in procedures.

Security check

Your carry-on baggage will be examined, and there will be a check for liquids in your possession.

Immigration

You do not have to go through Immigration when departing the United States.

  • *If you have ESTA and you entered the US on the Visa Waiver Program, there is no immigration card.
  • *The issue of the immigration inspection form has been discontinued as of May 2013, but if you entered the country prior to this date and have one attached to your passport, please hand it in.

Customs

There is no customs inspection upon departure, but if you have something to declare, please approach a customs officer.
