Transfers

Terminal map

There are Terminal 1,Terminal 2 and Terminal 3.
International Flights Terminal is located on the left hand side from Terminal 3, and Domestic Flights Terminal is on the right.

Terminal3

At Terminal 3, there are stairs/elevators, zero-floor immigration screening, baggage claim, Domestic Flights baggage claim area and customs.

There are transit counters, transfer security (International) on the 1st floor, boarding gates on the 2nd floor, stairs/elevators, and immigration screening, on the zero floor.

International → International Transfers

To check in for your connecting flight, please either use the transfers check-in counter (*1) , or enter the country (*2) briefly and use the departures counter.

*1 Special procedures are necessary to make an international flight transfer in Delhi.

*2 If you wish to enter India for transit purposes, you need to obtain a transit visa in advance. Please take note.

Transfers from JAL (Japan departures) to other international airlines

After completing check-in at the transfers counter, please proceed to the departure gate for your next flight.

  • Please inform the staff near your arrival gate so that the necessary documents can be prepared for your transfer check-in. It can take a long time for the documents to be prepared.
  • The officials in charge of creating the documents may need to retain your passport and airline ticket, Thank you for your cooperation.
  • If you are transferring to an airline other than Air India (AI) or Jet Airways (9W), there may be a long wait as the transfers counter is not always open.

Transfers from other international airlines to JAL (destination Japan)

After completing check-in at the transfers counter, please proceed to your departure gate.

  • To check in at the special transfers counter, the airline that you traveled to Delhi with needs to prepare the necessary documents. It can take a long time for the procedure to be completed.
  • The officials in charge of creating the documents may need to retain your passport and airline ticket, Thank you for your cooperation.

International → Domestic Transfers

(Airlines using Terminal 3)

After completing Immigration, Baggage Claim, and Customs, please proceed to level 2 and check in at the check-in counter for your connecting airline.

(Airlines using Terminal 1)

Please proceed to Terminal 1 after going through Immigration, Baggage Claim, and Customs.

Domestic → International Transfers

(Airlines using Terminal 3)

After collecting your baggage, please proceed to level 2 and check in at the check-in counter for your connecting airline.

(Airlines using Terminal 1)

Please proceed to Terminal 3 after collecting your baggage at Terminal 1.
