- Tickets and e-ticket passenger receipts can only be used by the person whose name is indicated on them.
- To change the passenger named on a ticket,you must cancel the original ticket and purchase a new one
- Tickets CANNOT be transferred to third parties. (i.e. Tickets acquired by internet auction or any other means cannot be used by someone other than the person whose name is indicated on the ticket.) Failure to comply with these rules will result in fine.
- The tickets must be used in the flight sequence shown on the ticket.

- Tickets issued for a booked itinerary may only be used for the specified flight.
- Tickets with open itineraries must be used within 90 days of either the date of issue or the following day.
Special fare tickets may have different validity periods than normal fare tickets.
- The original validity period of your ticket will remain in effect even if bookings are changed or tickets are exchanged or reissued, etc.
Ticket Validity Period by Fare
Tickets will NOT be reissued for lost or stolen tickets. Passengers will be required to purchase a replacement ticket(*1) at the airport on the day of departure before the travel commences.
Replacement tickets must be purchased from an applicable One-Way, Child or Discount for the Disabled fares.
- *1 Replacement tickets are tickets that are purchased for the travel covered by the original tickets when passengers cannot present a ticket at the airport on the day of departure.
Left behind Ticket
- (1) Please receive a “Replacement Ticket Receipt” when purchasing your replacement ticket at the airport on the day of departure.
- (2) Please apply for a refund for the replacement ticket at a later date.(*2)

Lost Ticket
- (1) Please file a Lost Ticket Report.(*2) Please complete all necessary procedures within 10 days of the day following the expiration date of the lost ticket’s applicable validity period.
- (2) To continue with your travel plans, it will be necessary to purchase a replacement ticket at the airport on the day of departure.
- (3) JAL will investigate any misuse of the reported lost ticket. When it can be confirmed that the lost ticket has not been used or refunded, the amount of the replacement ticket purchased will be refunded to you, deducting any separately stipulated charges. In addition, an investigation fee of ¥2,000 per ticket or ¥1,000 per ticket will be incurred.
